CHICAGO

Art on theMart

projector housing

In the spirit of Chicago’s great legacy of public art and culture, Art on theMART is the largest digital art projection in the world. This installation is a first-of-its-kind for Chicago, projected across 2.5 acres (two football fields) of theMART’s exterior river-façade, adding to the city’s vibrant public art scene. From March through December, Art on theMART is scheduled to run on Wednesdays through Sundays for up to two hours.

Our professionals fabricated and installed the Groupe Prelco 1" IGU (Insulated Glass Units) Art Glass Custom Curtain Wall Cassette System for the projector housing located on the River Walk across from theMART. The thermally secured IGU's protect the projector room housing 34 individual Christie Digital Boxer 4K30 30,000 lumen projectors which display a total of over one million lumens projected on the building facade.

This project was completed on time and on budget, resulting in the largest digital art display in the world at 556'x165' or 91,740 sq. ft. (over 2-acres, or, 2 football fields)
