Working closely with the Operations Management Team and all internal divisions in the preparation, execution, and completion of important construction projects. Works with general contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors while overseeing the progress of projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. Requires strong communication, construction, leadership, organizational, and diplomacy skills.  


This position is well suited for someone with a technical background that also enjoys creating drawings with Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CAD / CADD) and SolidWorks software programs. Strong technical and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines are required. Construction workers, engineers, architects, surveyors, and manufactures use CAD drawings to build and construct fenestration products.


This position is well suited for someone with a technical construction background that also enjoys interacting with customers, vendors, suppliers and fellow employees. Requires strong technical and organizational skills, ability to respond to inquiries via electronic devices, telephone or computer, and interact with others in a calm and friendly manner. The Estimator participates as a positive team member in obtaining and closing deals with the sales department and will provide professional services and essential functions which are important to the bidding process. 


Interact with customers on behalf of the company, attract potential customers by answering product and service questions. Use telephone and electronic methods to reach out to customers and verify account information. Greet customers warmly and ascertain problems or reason for calling. Work to resolve customer issues in a friendly and professional manner. 


Cultivate customer relationships, work with customers to find what they want, discuss solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. Work with estimating team on project proposals, maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales. Answer queries, offer advice and introduce our products and services through meetings and presentations.


Keep financial records updated, preparing reports and reconcile statements, run accounting software programs to process business transactions, accounts payable, receivables, collections, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.


Support activities and involvement in recruiting hiring, and training new employees. Administrative duties including employment records, performance reports, compensation, and benefits information, documentation of absences, PTO, grievances, and terminations. Collaborate with department directors/managers to determine hiring needs.


Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality. Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products. Build product subassemblies or final assemblies. Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity. Prepare and assemble materials. Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures. 


Develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns, assist in outbound/inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas including content development, copy-writing, and event planning. Work with sales and marketing teams to complete specialized projects. Graphic design, web content, digitization, print items, electronic forms, presentations and other duties as necessary.


Verify and keep records of all products shipped and received from this location. Prepare items for shipment, develop labels and shipping documents. Ensure all orders are filled correctly. Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move, or hoist materials. Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments. Correspond with scheduling department and transportation companies. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Make deliveries and pick-up supplies using company vehicle.


Draft and review contractual 

agreements between this company and suppliers of products or services. Evaluate bids, prepare contracts and negotiate terms. Assess contractor performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts. Handle breach of contracts in a timely manner. Develop and implement effective procurement proposals.


Create beautiful and functional architectural metal projects using the latest technology that includes waterjets, shears, numerical punching machines, press brakes, grinders, welding and more. Be familiar with mechanical tools and basic power-tool usage. Observe company safety and security procedures. Forklift operation experience a plus. Understanding of load / un-load procedures. Motivated to assist with shop organization and maintenance.
