Essex on the Park, a 56-story tower that faces Grant Park at 808 S. Michigan Avenue, contains, along with 479 apartments, a soaring "winter garden" room, bar and dance floor, bistro-style restaurant and a pet-grooming suite. The 4-story “winter garden” may be the most dramatic amenity space in any Chicago apartment building. The space hosts an indoor pool, looks out on Grant Park and opens to outdoor terraces.

At Essex on the Park, the showpiece amenity is a four-story winter garden room with windows the full height on three sides and expansive views of Grant Park and Lake Michigan. Plants cascade from indoor pergolas and a lap pool is set beneath a retractable glass wall that when open will make it feel like you're swimming directly above the trees in Grant Park. Midnight blue panels in the ceiling are pierced with pinpoint lights to create a 'starry night' effect in the 6,500-square-foot room.
